Yoga Information

Vinyasa Yoga
An energetic approach to Yoga, Vinyasa builds endurance through a flowing series of postures based upon the traditional Sun Salutation. Sequences are designed to build heat within the body to liquify and mobilize toxins, and typically progress from basic postures to more intermediate and advanced movements. Beginners will be given ways to modify the practice to suit their individual level. Emphasis is placed on alignment as the focus of Vinyasa practice is to facilitate the flow of energy or 'Prana' in the body.

 

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga will provide the student with the fundamentals to begin a regular Yoga practice. We will work slowly in each posture as the emphasis is on the proper integration of alignment and breathwork. This class is an eclectic blend of yoga styles including Iyengar, which utilizes props to achieve correct alignment, and Vinyasa, which links the poses in a precise, flowing sequence. This is the perfect class to provide the foundation essential for a solid Yoga practice.
